Zhuhai is a developing special economic zone at the outlet of the Zhujiang River on the coast of the South China Sea, adjoining Macao.   The New Yuanming Palace is located at foot of Big Shilin Mountain of Jiuzhou Road, Zhuhai City. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and south side left open and smooth, it occupies an area of about 1.39 square kilometres including 80,000 square metres of lake area.
