To give greater fame to the tower was the poem The Yellow Crane Tower written by Tang poet Cui Hao. It says:"the immortal left on a yellow crane, leaving behind the empty Yellow Crane Tower. Gone forever is the yellow crane, only the vast expanse of white clouds is left..." Ancient Lute Terrace, also known as Boya Terrace, sits beside the Moon Lake in northern Hanyang. It used to be the spot where Yu Boya, a musician of the State of Chu, played the lute. During the Revolution of 1911, Huang Xing, a revolutionary leader, set up his headquarters here. It was at Calling on the General Terrace in Viewing Horse Ground in Wuchang that saw Huang Xing was presented with the seal of authorizing him to take command of the Revolution of 1911. |
