Jingdezhen is a famous cultural city and the "capital of porcelain", originally going by the name of Xinping. By now, it has a history of more than 1,400 years for porcelain making.
According to history, the name of the city of Jingdezhen has its origin in the period of the Jingde reign of the Northern Song (1004-1007), and the fact that it had all its porcelains stamped with the characters of "Jingde Years".

It nearly makes no exception of Jingdezhen's porcelain to be treasured and collected by people as valuable art works. Jade-white, thin and bright porcelain produced in Jingdezhen is much sought after by customers in more than a hundred countries and regions. Enhanced interest will be found by tourists in arranged visits to ancient kilns, being introduced into Ming street scenes and enjoying the fragrance of lotus flowers from willow-lined lotus ponds. To serve tourists there is the Jingdezhen Hotel with deluxe fancy rooms.
